Bruin loved eating the cherries.

In the garden we have,
tomatoes,

carrots,

radishes,

asparagus,

and peppers.

We also have artichocks, and lots of cherries and apricots.

I hope everyone is planting something this year. It's always so much fun to see what grows and then eat it!!! Yum, Yum!!

A weekend with Jensen's & Casper's

What a fun weekend we had with the Jensen's and Casper's here at

Grandma's and Grandpa's house.

We BBQ everynight, had a fire in the pit, went 4 wheeling, played in the backyard, and ate

lots of stuff out of the garden.

On Saturday evening we had several of the stott's over for a BBQ, and had

a great time with family. I wish I had gotten a few pictures of everyone.

Crew Phillip Casper Birthday

My next new grandson Crew Phillip Casper.

He was born on May 13th. He is my

9th grandchild!!

I was also able to play with Gavin. He is

so much fun!!

We played baseball, Frisbee, football, and wrestled

all day Saturday. We had a great time with Dad too!!

We had a great time at mom's. I took mother out to dinner on Saturday evening and then went to church at her ward with Chris and Linda. Chris and I then made a wonderful Mother's Day dinner for both Mom and Linda. We BBQ steaks with bacon wrapped around them, had shrimp cocktail, twice baked potatoes, a veggie medley and a spring spinach salad. Dessert was wonderful. Chris brought Cherri pie and lemon merange pie. It was a wonderful weekend and then I drove back Sunday evening.

Eating and more eating that's what Lundquist's do best. Great food and wonderful company. We have tasted and eaten great varieties of seafood and desserts, oh and plenty of chocolate and goodies.

We have have had plenty of walks to burn a couple calories but we make up for it at night.

This is the crater we drove to that took two hours from sea level to 10,000'. the colors were spectacular, and the weather went from 84 degrees at sea level to 60 degrees at the top. It was so clear the day we were there.
This is the pool area at the Marriott hotel we were staying at, so beautiful here, and so relaxing.

I'm I relaxed or what? We we're laying here waiting for the sunset to set. Wow we were hanging loose.

Parasailing in Maui

We have been having a fabulous time with lots of relaxing moments. We went to the Maui crater, snorkeling, shopping, swimming, and lots of eating. Our room has the most spectacularview of the ocean and the sunsets that you can ever have. We can just stay in the room and be more then satisfied. It has been so much fun being with my brothers and their wives. We have enjoyed all the time together. Chris has been diving every other day (and I wish I could go with him each time he leaves in the morning) and has really enjoyed each dive. We have had some wonderful meals out and it is so fun to explore the island. We still have a Luau to go to on Wednesday evening with cliff diving, and we have a lot more relaxing to do. This island is so beautiful as you will see with the several pictures I will post. Hope you all enjoy the pictures and the slideclip of the parasailing we did today.

I planted the garden this morning, I planted three kinds of squash.

Artichoch plants have been growing, and you can see the head.

I planted carrots, beans, cucumbers, onions, spinach, melons

Watermelon, and cantaloupe.

We will have lots of apricots and cherries this year. I hope I get to see a few grandsons this early summer to help me eat all the fruit. I also grew all my own seeds this year for the garden. I have a little portable green house to grow seeds. I planted three kinds of squash, peppers, onions, three kinds of tomatoes, cilantro, cucumbers, and spinach. I will plant these little guys next week in the garden area for harvest in the summer.

Grandpa feeding Bruin, it's so much fun! Last Thursday Grandma and I played with Bruin while Holly and Phil went to the temple. It was so much fun having this little guy around. I took him outside and we went and picked peas out of grandpa's garden and he sucked on that pea pod for at least 15 minutes, we also eat grandpa's tangerines from the trees. I love my grandson and I'm so grateful we have websites to see them grow up everyday. Thanks for all your updates

This was a picture I took when we went down to visit Grandma, Chris and Linda. We had a great time, we took a drive over to the beach and took a walk out to a look out point. It was cold but it was fun.

Dad's baking bread these days. I want a great wheat bread that we can enjoy all the time. This recipe is pretty good, but I'm still playing with it. It's a full wheat ground bread. Holly comes over and makes it too and is trying it on Phil. If he likes it I'm getting closer.

This is provident living. I'm making bread and Mom is making dinner out of the pantry at least a couple times a week to get use to eating our storage and rotating it.

We are also back on a budget! Wow dad on a budget is like a fish out of water. But it is what we all need to be doing. We need to be working our money not our money working us!

Thanksgiving at Grandmother's 2008

Thanksgiving at Grandmother's has been a lot of fun. It took two extra hours to drive here because of traffic but we have had a great time. This morning mom and I got up at 7:30 and I started the BBQ to cook the turkey. This year mom and I decided to cook the entire dinner so we could give Grandmother a nice break. Ww put the turkey on at 9:00 and I kept basting the turkey every 45 min with butter, garlic and seasoning. then at 1:00 we started the cellery, olives and pickels, dad's mashed potatoes, candy yams, Eve's creamed peas, fruit salad, and from the drippings from the BBQ turkey a fabulous gravey that was to die for. Phil and Holly were visiting friends and Phil playied in a football game this morning and they got here when Chris Linda and bernard arrived at 2:00. We started eating at 2:30 and had a feast. We just enjoyed a fabulous dessert that Linda made (German choc cake and a pumkin spice cake). Ariana, and Shaudee came over a few minutes ago and it's been real fun seeing them and spending time with them. They are soooooo cute. We hope all of you have had a great day and we look forward to hearing from each of you. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! WE LOVE YOU!!!!

This is my garden, I wanted everyone to see my peas growing. On the top left is my artichoke plants. I can't wait to eat fresh peas in the garden. I would save some for you girls but I know you would want me to eat them all. I would love to share them with my grandsons, In 50 days they will be ready to pick, I know they would eat them with me.

A Hummer of a Time

This was such a fun trip to our daughter in Seattle Washington. We flew in with Holly and Bruin, and when we arrived at the airport Hertz told us they ran out of economy cars so they gave us a full size Hummer. The best part was they gave it to us for the same price as a economy car.

We had a wonderful time with April & Devin, Holly & Phil and our two cute grandsons Gavin and Bruin. We drove all around Seattle in the Hummer and saw many fun and beautiful sights. We even got in a BYU football game playing the Washington Huskies. Seattle is such a beautiful city. Thanks for a great time! We love you so much!

We love living in the area that we do. California has been a home to us for most all our growing up, and married years. Over the past few months we have been very active with the young adults in our area promoting family values, and that God has only sanctified marriage between one man and one woman. We know that God has given to man their free agency to live as they may, but God has also given mankind the scriptures to learn His will and plan of happiness in this , but we have also been taught to live a core value of virtue and morality, and that marriage between man and woman brings beautiful little spirit children into our lives. We respect everyones feelings, but as christians we must stand firm in our faith and committments to God and His teachings.

Our blessings from God have been peace and happiness with our children, and we are now enjoying the continued blessing of beautiful grandchildren coming down from God our Heavenly Father. Jesus Christ is our Savior and our mediator to the Father, without Him we are lost because He brings us redemption through His atonement. We are thankful for our faith, we love this blessed nation, and we will help and teach by example, in spreading His great truths to all. May God continue to bless this great nation and earth, is our faith, hope and prayer.

Well I decided it was time to start our blog. Since I have a day off I thought I can't put it off any longer. The hardest thing was coming up with a blog name. It's simple but it's who we are. We are excited and blessed grandparents of six grandsons that we love so much. We hope this blog can share our love with them and help keep them in touch with their Gramma and Grumpa.
